Weekends of metal don't come any bigger than this.
This Friday and Saturday, August 25 and 26, The Back Room in Annerly, Brisbane will be decimated by the thunderous raptures of some of the countries top metal acts with a two day extravaganza that shows metal is alive and well in the Sunshine State.
Organiser Mike 'Mousey' Whitburn has been at the helm of Metal of Honor gigs in Brisbane for over a decade and says this years Shredfest line-up is shaping to be the best yet.
Headlined by Frankenbok, Desecrator, Truth Corroded, Asylum, In Death, Azreal, Hidden Intent, Dragonsmead and New Clear Vision, Shredfest features bands from all over Australia playing music loud, fast and brutal, with 40 bands playing over two stages in the ultimate homage to everything we love about music.
Tickets can be bought for individual days but the better and cheaper option is to get yourself a two day pass, going for just $50 plus b.f presale. Hit up any of your favourite local bands for tickets beforehand, or risk buying them at the door where an additional charge will be applied.
Music starts at 5 p.m on Friday and 11 a.m Saturday with music going through until 1 a.m
