** LIVE REVIEW ** Body Count // A.B Original // Void of Vision @ Tivoli Theatre - 1st June 2017

It's been a bit over 20 years since Bodycount last visited Australia and much was expected from this tour on the back of the well received Bloodlust album.

Opening the night was metalcore outfit Vision of Void from Melbourne putting in a strong performance and getting the small but growing crowd into a heavy groove and setting the mood.

Next up AB Original, the hip hop duo from Adelaide riding the line for the Ice T fans and the punk contingent, with Briggs and Trials getting a good flow going and getting the crowd into a good bounce and happy mood.

If the quality of the 2 support acts was anything to go by it was going to be a special night, and BodyCount didn't disappoint.  Busting out on stage to their cover of Slayer's Raining Blood and instantly getting the crowd into a frenzy.  Playing a cross section from almost their full back catalogue the band was tight showing incredible skill while putting on a chaotic display.  Ice T didn't disappoint and showing that he is a seasoned performer and accomplished frontman.

Often joking about his age, and that he has been playing a cop on TV for longer then some of the members of the audience have been alive.  While bringing up tough topics like racism and police brutality, Ice T controlled the mood of the crowd whipping them into circle pits and making them laugh in equal amounts.
With a show this good let's hope it's not another 20 years before we see BodyCount come back to Australia.
