The red-hot line-up of entertainment and stalls at the July 31 Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market is sure to melt off the winter blues. The monster record fair is back on with a smorgasbord of 50,000 plus items to feast on.
Upstairs in the Manning Bar, pig out some more with ska-punk legends The Porkers, blast off with astro-rockabillies Men Into Space and indulge with Cruisin’ Deuces, The Hellcat III and DJs.

With a vast array of traders, the July market is a shopping treasure trove of unique goods and a great day out for the whole family. Expect to find… fashion galore, rock ‘n’ roll, alternative, vintage, handmade and unique clothing for men, women and children, jewellery, accessories, posters, cult DVDs, artwork, homewares, collectables, and more plus over 50,000 LPs, 45s and CDs covering; rock, punk, metal, rockabilly, blues, jazz, country, reggae, club, hip hop and every other genre since the dawn of rock ‘n’ roll.
The Record Fair is presented by Revolve Records (Erskineville) and Egg Records (Newtown).

There’s also a café, bars, international food, giant kids’ games, classic and vintage vehicle display plus more.

The July 31 entertainment line-up features:

The Porkers: They’ll be hitting us with the 'wall of noise' they've brought to festival stages around the globe since spearheading the ‘third wave of ska’ in the late 90s.
The Porkers pack a punch with their skanky Jamaican rhythms and melting pot of reggae fused with funk, punk and metal riffs, sometimes all in the same song! Just add beer to the super-energetic stage show from the men of pork.

Men Into Space: Blast off with Australia’s number-one astro-rockabilly band. Dressed as astronauts complete with helmets, these quirky Queenslanders might look like space oddities, but they’re outstanding touring rockabilly and roots musicians, and they have one mission only: to rock your socks off.

Cruisin’ Deuces: Born out of a love of traditional honky-tonk, western swing and rockabilly music. The Cruisin’ Deuces blend the southern twang of Telecasters with crying steel guitars and driving bass, bringing the sounds of Texas, Memphis and Nashville to Sydney for a hootenanny you'll never forget.

The Hellcat III: Since making their debut in February 2015, this group of seasoned musicians have performed in front of thousands of rockabilly, dance and kustom kulture enthusiasts throughout NSW, offering an exciting blend of traditional, new and unique rockabilly music.

Plus DJs Rod Almighty, The Crimplenes, The Rockabilly Rhino and Patti LaBeefe.

And MCs Wolfman Dan and the Rockabilly Rhino

Plus – Rock ‘n’ Roll Dancing Beginners Class: If you’ve always wanted to give Rock ‘n’ Roll dancing a try, there’ll be a class for beginners at the market between 10.30am and 11.30am with teachers Dean Badelles and Trudi Pickering. It’s just $11 per class, which includes entry to the market.
No need to bring a dance partner – just plenty of energy and your best dancing shoes!
